Making a gift to Operation Jump Start through your will or living trust gives you the immediate satisfaction of creating a lasting and personal legacy that ensures OJS’ future and costs nothing now

Your gift…

…will make an impact!
Transform the lives of underserved scholars by directing your bequest to any area of our work, such as:

  • general operating support
  • scholarships
  • youth enrichment programming

…is flexible!
You can use a wide range of assets to make your gift and create a highly personalized plan.

…remains in your control!
You can modify your bequest if your situation changes.

…may minimize your estate tax!
For donors who are subject to estate taxes, a charitable bequest could reduce the amount of estate tax paid.

What is a bequest?

A bequest is a gift from your estate – transfer of cash, securities, or other property made through estate planning. You can make a bequest to Operation Jump Start (OJS) by including language in your will or living trust by leaving a portion of your estate to OJS, or by designating Operation Jump Start as a beneficiary in a retirement account or life insurance policy.

Operation Jump Start would like to thank you once your bequest is received and include you in our Legacy Society, a group of philanthropists who share a strong bond with OJS and a desire to turn college dreams into reality!

Our Legacy Society

All planned giving donors are recognized, according to their wishes, as members of the Legacy Society in published donor lists.

Membership in the Legacy Society is granted to individuals who have provided for Operation Jump Start in their will or through irrevocable deferred gift arrangements, and of which are confirmed in writing with letter of intent.
