College Access
The College Access Program equips students in grades 8th – 10th with social and emotional support, resources, opportunities, and a pathway to get into college. This is done through individualized academic advising, intervention, and mentorship. College Access currently serves 75 students annually.
Our students are matched with a mentor beginning in the 8th grade and continuing for the next three years to provide guidance and support based on their unique developmental needs. Mentors will provide academic support, encourage academic achievement, assist students in improving interpersonal relationships, such as with teachers and family, and provide students with assistance in choosing a career path.
College Access provides students the opportunity to engage in free tutoring services, educational workshops, social and cultural events, scholarships, college tours, and more!
Parents of students are also provided with new capabilities to create environments for their students to thrive academically. College Access students discover their full potential and enjoy an increase in confidence.
